Practical guide to sizing video surveillance storage
SSP Academy practical guide to sizing the storage of a video surveillance system based on the number of cameras, the bitrate, the cod…
Master the design and deployment of professional IP video surveillance systems: network architecture, camera and NVR selection, sizing for up to 128 cameras, storage and AI-based video analytics.

This level 2 training is aimed at professionals wishing to move from installing small video surveillance systems to designing and deploying medium-sized IP architectures.
The course develops the skills needed to analyze a requirement, design a coherent IP video surveillance architecture, select cameras and recording equipment, size video streams and storage, and then commission an installation of up to about 128 cameras.
Particular attention is given to the network infrastructure used by video surveillance: IP cameras, PoE switching, network links, bandwidth and the integration of recording and monitoring equipment.
The training also covers AI-based video analytics in order to implement more advanced detection and classification functions and improve the handling of security events.
The teaching approach remains focused on case studies, sizing, configuration and the commissioning of professional solutions.
