Overview
This training introduces the principles of IP telephony: SIP, RTP, codecs and numbering. Participants gather a client's needs and size a project based on extensions, trunks and bandwidth.
The course covers commissioning a Zycoo CooVox or Grandstream UCM IPBX, creating SIP extensions and registering phones or softphones. It covers SIP, FXO or GSM trunks, inbound routes, the IVR, call groups, schedules and outbound dialing plans.
Hands-on practice adds voicemail, call recording, queues, reports, paging and intercom. A final mock-up brings together a multi-site SME and a mini call center, with a VoIP VLAN, simple QoS, backup, restoration and diagnostics via logs and CDR.
Objectives
